How to Make Shapes on Cappuccinos

Pour espresso into your cup, then tilt the cup toward you until the espresso reaches the rim closest to you. You want the espresso to be as close to the rim of the cup as possible without spilling over.

Pour the milk into your cup where it is tilting until you see a cloud of foam begin to form. You may need to tilt the cup slightly forward when adding the milk to avoid spillage.

Move the spout of the pitcher to the center of the cup and continue pouring the milk while you shake your wrist in a side-to-side motion. Finish pouring the milk by bringing the spout down the middle of the cup to the opposite end.
