In December 2010, Barnes & Noble announced that its Nook wireless reading device had become the company's best selling product ever. More than 2 million books are available for the Nook, but books are not the only option for your reading enjoyment. Barnes & Noble also offers magazines and newspapers. With newspapers, you can purchase a single issue or a subscription to national and local publications. To get newspapers on your Nook, you can download them directly from your device or transfer them from your computer.

      Tap "Shop" from the Nook's quick launch bar to open the Nook store.

      Select "Newspapers" under Browse on the main page of the Nook store. Locate the newspaper you want to to get on your Nook.

      Tap on the newspaper's image to open its details page. Tap "Buy Current Issue" or "Free Trial." Barnes & Noble offers 14-day trials on newspapers in its Nook store. Click "Confirm" to begin downloading the newspaper. Once the download completes, the newspaper will appear in your Library.

      Launch the Barnes & Noble website. Click "All Departments" from the left side of the screen. Choose "All Departments" then "Nook" from the drop-down menu to enter the Nook store. Select "Newstand" in the Nook store to begin searching for newspapers.

      Click on the newspaper you are interested in to open its details page. Click "Buy Current Issue" or "Subscribe Now." By clicking "Subscribe Now" you can access a 14-day trial of the newspaper. Click "Confirm" to begin downloading the newspaper to your computer.

      Connect your Nook to your computer using the supplied USB cord. The Nook will appear as a new drive on your desktop.

      Drag and drop the newspaper from the location it is stored on your computer to the Nook drive.

      Eject the Nook drive and disconnect the device from your computer.
