How to Run Unity on Ubuntu

Unity is a graphical desktop environment designed for the Ubuntu Linux operating system. It was originally designed for netbooks. As of the 11.04 (Natty) version, Unity has replaced Gnome as the default desktop manager. Instead of an applications menu, Unity features a sidebar that includes your most used applications and a search text box where you type the names of other applications you want to use. If you are using an earlier version of Ubuntu, or if you using Kubuntu or Linux Mint, you can install the unity package from the software repository.
