How to Remove Duplicates on an Open Office Calculator
Calculators are term for OpenOffice.org Calc spreadsheets that allow you to tally calculations related to practical concerns such business profits, retirement savings, yearly budgets and mortgage payments. Duplicate entries within any of the aforementioned types of spreadsheets, or any spreadsheet for that matter, will generate grievous errors that destroy the accuracy of this application's calculations. Prevention of duplicate entries through concentrated effort is the best weapon of defense against mistakes. But when your fingers fail you, checking for duplicate values in OpenOffice Calc and deleting or correcting them will restore the accuracy of your work.

Click the first cell of column A and drag the cursor downward until all of the column's data is selected.

Sort the selected data range by choosing "Data" and "Sort" from the main menu then click "Ok."

Look for duplicates in the the same column by examining its new, ascending order.

Click and drag to sort each of the other columns individually, so that their values also all appear in ascending order.

Compare each of the sorted rows and look for duplicates.

Click within the cell that contains a duplicate value.

Press the Delete key or enter a correct value.
