How to Fix Water Hose on Kenmore Elite Refrigerator
A damaged water hose connecting your Kenmore Elite refrigerator to the water supply line can lead to water leak, resulting in damage to your floors, walls and cabinets. The water hose is constructed of either copper or plastic, and over time may develop a leak, or burst if tightly compressed behind the refrigerator. Does this Spark an idea?

Pull the refrigerator away from the wall, and then unplug the power cord.

Turn off the water supply valve by turning the handle counterclockwise.

Loosen the compression nut on the water supply line, connecting the line to the water inlet valve on the rear of the refrigerator using an adjustable wrench. Remove the water line. Place towels on the floor to catch any water remaining in the line.

Loosen the compression nut on the water supply line, connecting the line to the water supply valve, and then remove and discard the line.

Insert the compression nut onto the end of the new water supply line, and then insert the ferrule into the line, if installing a copper water supply line.

Connect the water supply line to the water supply valve, and then tighten the compression nut to secure.Tighten the compression nut by hand, then turn one additional turn using an adjustable wrench.

Place the other end of the line in a bucket, and then turn on the valve to allow water to flow through the line, flushing the line. Turn off the valve.

Connect the compression nut and ferrule to the other end of the water supply line, if installing a copper line.

Connect the water supply line to the water inlet valve on the rear of the refrigerator. Tighten the compression nut by hand, then turn one additional turn using an adjustable wrench.

Turn on the water supply valve to ensure there are no leaks, and then plug the refrigerator into the wall outlet.

Push the refrigerator back against the wall.
