How to Troubleshoot a GE Oven Clock Control Board
When the clock stops on your GE oven it can severely affect your self-cleaning and timed-bake features. It's important to troubleshoot any instances of clock malfunction, and to determine whether the problem is an electrical issue or if the clock needs to be fully replaced. If necessary, the control board can easily be replaced once your oven is shut off from power by accessing the top panel from the back of the oven. Does this Spark an idea?

Check the power supply for the GE oven, making sure it is plugged in all the way in the AC wall outlet. Check the circuit breaker for your kitchen to make sure it is on.

Press the “Up” and “Down” arrow button next to the clock feature on the control panel to see if the time will change. If you cannot change the time, the touch pad, control board or both may need to be replaced.

View the display and see if the code “EEPROM” appears. If the code appears then you need to replace the control board.

Pull your GE oven away from the wall and unplug the power supply from the AC wall outlet.

Use a screwdriver to remove the screws on the upper back panel near the control panel, and lift up the top frame.

Remove the mounting screws on the control board. Reconnect any loose or dangling wires, and the check the display to see if the code still appears.

Unplug the wires connected to the old control board if the code if still appearing on the display and carefully remove the control board.

Place the overlay for the control board onto the new control board and reconnect the wires.

Reinsert the mounting screws to the control board, and then reinsert the two front panel screws.
