How to Add Minutes to the Quarters in My Player Career Mode on "NBA 2K10"
NBA 2K10 is a basketball video game that was released for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and personal computers. Players can use famous athletes such as Kobe Bryant, LeBron James and Tony Parker during the different game modes. "My Player" mode allows users to create their own player and manage his development from his rookie year to retirement. Adding time to the game quarters will allow your player to stay on the court for longer amounts of time and increase his stats.

Begin a new game of NBA 2K10 and select the "My Player" game mode. Press the A button if you are using the Xbox 360. If playing with the PS3, press the X button to make the selection. When playing with a personal computer use the Enter key to select this game mode.

Follow the game prompts to create your character. You will select his name, height, weight, position and physical appearance. You will also allot attribute points to different categories to improve your character's playing abilities.

Select the "Save" option from the menu to create a save file of your customized player. Name the game file and press the appropriate button to save the file to your hard drive.

Press the back button on your controller to return to the main menu for NBA 2K10. The B button on the Xbox 360 controller will return you to the main menu. Press the O button on the PS3 controller to return to the main menu. Use the Backspace key to return to the main menu when playing with a personal computer.

Press the corresponding button to select the "Options" tab. Then select the "My NBA" tab on the next screen. Select the "Gameplay" tab on the next screen. On the very next screen you will be able to adjust the minutes in each quarter.

Press the joystick either right or left to change the amount of time in each quarter. The options are 5, 8,10 and 12 minute quarters. Press the back button twice to return to the main menu for NBA 2K10.

Select the "Load/Save" tab from the main menu and then select the "Save Settings" tab on the very next screen.

Save your game file under a name of your choosing. Once the file is done saving, press the back button to return to the main menu once again.

Select the "My Player" game mode once again. Select the "Continue" tab on the next screen. Select the "Import My Player" option. Your created character will now have the option of playing 12-minute quarters during each of his NBA games.
