How to Break a Piece of Electricity Equipment With a Javelin in "Kinect Sports"

"Kinect Sports" senses your movement when throwing items or running.

The Xbox 360 game "Kinect Sports" uses motion-sensing technology to let you experience sports activities as if you were actually in the stadium or on the field. In the Track & Field category, the Javelin event requires you to throw a javelin as far as you can. If you break a piece of electrical equipment with the javelin, you earn the 20-point Circuit Breaker Achievement. To break the electrical equipment, get a running start and throw the javelin at an angle toward the back of the stadium.

Things You'll Need

• Xbox 360 Kinect peripheral

Instructions

1. Select the "Track & Field" category. Select "Mini-Games" and choose "Javelin."

2. Position yourself directly in front of the Kinect motion-sensing peripheral. Raise your dominant arm slightly to lift the javelin.

3. Run in place, lifting your knees up high. When you approach the end of the track and step on the field, angle your body to the left or right.

4. Hold your arm over your head and swing it forward as hard as you can as if you were pitching a baseball. If you throw hard enough, the javelin breaks the electrical equipment. You get the Circuit Breaker Achievement for doing so.

Tips & Warnings

• If you don't angle your body, you will throw the javelin straight.
