How to Use Wireless Repeaters
If you live in a large house or use a wireless network in your office, you may notice that your wireless network's signal does not reach to all of the rooms building. To increase the area of your wireless network, you can use one or more wireless repeaters. Wireless repeaters are available online and in electronics stores. It is important that you purchase a repeater that is compatible with the type of router you have. For example, if you have a wireless-n router, you should buy a wireless-n repeater.
Instructions

1
Locate the "dead" spot in the building where the wireless signal is low or even non-existent.
-
2
Determine where the halfway point is between your wireless router and the spot you located in Step 1.
-
-
3
Place your repeater in the corner of the room or in another unobtrusive point. The repeater will need to be close to an outlet since it needs power to boost the signal.
-
4
Connect the repeater to the router. Some repeaters require a physical Ethernet connection while others are capable of wirelessly boosting the signal.
-
5
Configure your repeater by navigating to the IP address located in the manual. You will need to then enter the name (SSID) of your wireless network connection and your passkey.
