How to Make Colorful Dreads

How to Make Colorful Dreads thumbnail
Dreads, big or small, can be temporarily colored with accessories.

Dreads are a hairstyle that consists of many braid-like groupings of hair. Dreads are made by the tightening of the hair to itself over many months. As the hair grows, it is added to the dread. They are only removable by cutting, as the individual dreads are made of hair so compact they could never be untangled. A hairstyle that is so permanent requires some versatility, which can be achieved with color. Adding colored accessories to your dreads can liven up a hairstyle and allow you to decorate them for a special occasion. For best results, use bright and contrasting colored yarn and beads.
