How to Become a Spin Instructor With Certification in Minnesota
Spin instructor certification is awarded through Mad Dogg Athletics -- the official creator of the Spinning program. This organization offers certification workshops, continuing-education courses and certification exams. Although Spin certification isn't a requirement for teaching Spin courses, it will likely give you a leg up on the competition when looking for a job as an instructor.

Find out when the nearest certification workshop is being held in your area by using the search feature on the Spinning website. You can search for workshops within the state of Minnesota or enter your ZIP code to find workshops within a specified radius of your home.

Register online for the workshop of your choice. Each nine-hour workshop is held over one day. At the completion of the workshop, you'll be prepared to take the online certification exam. Workshops cover bike setup and safety, creating class ride profiles, coaching skills and heart rate training.

Register and take the online Spinning certification exam.Upon passing the exam, Mad Dogg Athletics will award you your Spinning certification. This certification is good for two years and must be renewed through continuing-education requirements.

Contact fitness facilities in your area to inquire about a position as a spinning instructor. Make sure you mention that you're a certified instructor.
