How to Build a Street Team Page on Facebook
Build a Facebook fan page for a street team to allow current members of the street team to connect on Facebook and to provide an easy outlet for prospective members to join. Once someone becomes a fan of the street team on Facebook -- this requires only that he click the "Like" button at the top of the page -- he receives each message you send out in his news feed, eliminating the need for complicated email correspondence.

Click the "Create a Page" button on the main Facebook page. Select "Company, Organization or Institution," and select "Organization," then click "Get Started."

Choose an image from your hard drive to use as the profile picture for the page. Avoid using copyrighted images of the celebrity or product for whom the street team exists. Rather, use an image of the street team in action or even a portrait of the street team.

Input profile text that explains the street team and its function to prospective members, and provides a history of the organization. Click "Finish" to place the page live on the site.

Click the "Invite Friends" button on the right side of the page, and click the name of Facebook friends you want to tell about the page. Alternatively, drag the mouse over the page's URL and post it into status updates you send out via your personal Facebook page or your Twitter feed.

Tips & Warnings
Don't choose the "Artist, Band or Public Figure" option when creating a page unless you are an official representative of the artist, band or record label.
