How to Do a French Manicure With White Fake Nails

Turn your fake nails into a classic beauty statement.

You don't have to go to an expensive salon to sport an impeccable French manicure. Instead of using your own nails, you can purchase some fake nails and groom them before applying them, ensuring the perfect French manicure. By purchasing white fake nails, you can also avoid purchasing white nail polish.

Things You'll Need

• White fake nails
• Beige or pink colored nail polish
• Clear nail polish
• Nail glue
• Thin masking tape
• Sheet of paper

Instructions

1. Take the fake white nails out of the package and put them on a sheet of paper. This will ensure you don't get nail polish on your furniture.

2. Place the thin masking tape across the tips of the nails to preserve the white color. Cover as much of the tips as you want for your manicure.

3. Paint the beige or pink nail polish over the rest of the nails. Make sure to paint two coats, leaving no streaks on your nails. Set the nails back on the sheet of paper to dry. Allow the nails to dry for 10 to 15 minutes.

4. Carefully remove the masking tape from the tips of your nails. Paint two coats of the clear nail polish on top of the nails and set them back on the sheet of paper to dry for 10 to 15 minutes.

5. Paint the underside of each nail with the nail glue and place them on your corresponding fingernails. Work on one hand and allow the glue to dry for 10 minutes, and then apply the remainder to the other hand. Allow to dry for another 10 minutes.

Tips & Warnings

• Make sure the masking tape is pressed firmly, so no beige or pink polish seeps through to the tips of the nails.
