How to Cover a Mirrored Plug
Outlet covers come in a variety of sizes and colors. Mirrors use reflective covers, designed to prevent disruption of the reflective surface. Outlets of any type however pose a potential safety hazard to curious toddlers and children interested in finding out what those little holes in the cover are for. Fortunately, covers are made for this very thing, allowing adults access to the outlet while protecting kids. Does this Spark an idea?

Examine the snap-in outlet cover. Note the orientation of the two primary prongs and the safety catch that engages the third grounding hole.

Push the cover straight in to the outlet. This may require a moderate amount of force. Continue until the safety latch clicks into the grounding plug hole.

Remove the safety cover by pressing the safety latch button while pressing on the two side release buttons. Pull the unit free to use the outlet.

Tips & Warnings
Shut off the breaker controlling the outlet if you know it will rarely if ever be used. Be sure this doesn't de-activate lighting you may want to keep in use.
