How to Make a Friendship Bracelet Crown
A friendship bracelet is an item of jewelry made from strands of embroidery floss, rope, cotton or yarn. A simple four-strand knotting technique is used to create a long diagonal striped friendship bracelet which can be tied around the crown of the head. You can use four different colored strands to create a unique friendship bracelet crown that matches an outfit or reflects your personality. The tools and materials required to create the crown can be bought from craft stores or online retailers.

1
Measure and cut a 60-inch long piece of embroidery floss. Repeat with the other 3 colors of embroidery floss.
-
2
Align the four strands, and tie a single overhand knot 1 inch below the tops of the strands.
-
-
3
Cut a strip of duct tape, stick it over the single knot and affix the strands to a table or desk.
-
4
Separate and untangle the four strands so that one is positioned on the left-hand side, one on the right and two in the middle. You will have to repeat this Step as you go along to keep the strands free of tangles.
-
5
Tie the strand on the left-hand side around the strand to the right of it in a double knot. Tie the same strand in a double knot around the strand to the right of that, and then in a double knot around the strand on the right-hand side.
-
6
Repeat Step 5, continuing to knot the strands of embroidery floss together until you have knotted enough of friendship bracelet crown so that it fits around your head.
-
7
Tie a single knot at the end of the friendship bracelet crown. Carefully remove the duct tape. Use the loose embroidery floss strands to tie the crown around the head and secure it in a double knot at the back of the head.
