How to Read the Nook on the iPad Without the Internet

The Nook e-book reader for the iPad allows you to read downloaded books on your iPad without the Internet. Nook is a free application available from Apple's App Store. Before you can read a book, however, you will need to download the book using the Nook application over a Wi-Fi connection.

Instructions

      Tap the "App Store" icon on your iPad.

      Tap "Search" and enter "Nook" in the search bar.

      Select the "Nook" application.

      Tap the "Free" icon.

      Tap the "Install" icon.

      Tap the "Nook" icon on the home screen of your iPad.

      Tap the "Search" icon and enter the book you want to purchase.

      Select the book and tap the "Purchase" option. The book will appear in the Nook application's book case.

      Tap the download icon located over the book's cover in the Nook bookcase to download the book.

      Tap the book to open and read the book without an Internet connection.

Tips & Warnings

  • An Internet connection is required for Steps 1 to 9. However, no Internet connection is required to read the book once downloaded to the Nook application.
