Highlight your unique friendship with a friendship book.

Whether you are looking for a thoughtful and creative gift idea for a friend whose birthday is approaching, a budget craft you can give to a good friend on a holiday, or a simple and fun way to show your friend how much you care, a friendship book is an excellent idea. Designing your own friendship book gives you the flexibility to think about what your friendship means to you, and highlight the aspects of your friends that you want to share.

Instructions

    • 1

Purchase a notebook that allows you to create the kind of friendship book that you are interested in making. Choose a larger notebook if you plan to incorporate many pages of memories. Choose a smaller notebook or journal if you want to keep things short and sweet. Choose a notebook with a color or design on the cover that you like, but remember you will be adding to the cover of your friendship book.

    • 2

Design the front of the friendship book. Incorporate your favorite picture onto the front cover of the friendship book. Include words or phrases around the picture that hold a special meaning to you and your friend. Include a title for the book, as well as both of your names if they are not included in the title.

    • 3

Place pictures inside the notebook. Order the pictures any way you want. For example, if you have been friends since you were children, sort the pictures in chronological order to emphasize the longevity of your friendship. Sort the pictures into chapters based around specific memories.

    • 4

Write captions and stories to go along with each of the pictures. Explain why you chose the picture you did, what the picture means to you, or the emotions that the picture inspires. Include important information that you want to highlight about your friendship as well, even if the information does not go along with a specific picture.
