How to Make a Friendship Bracelet for Men
A friendship bracelet is an item of jewelry made from two or more knotted strands of hemp rope, embroidery floss, cotton or yarn. There are several different styles of friendship bracelet. Use a basic five strand knotting technique to create a striped, diagonal pattern on the bracelet. You can experiment with the color and thickness of the strands to create a masculine bracelet that suits the personality and style of the man for whom you are making it.
Instructions

1
Measure and cut one of the strands of embroidery floss so that it is 25 inches long. Repeat with the other four strands.
-
2
Gather all of the strands together so they start at the same place. Tie a single overhand knot approximately 2 inches below the tops of the five strands.
-
-
3
Clip the knot into the bull clip at the top of the clipboard. Untangle the five strands and position them vertically next to one another.
-
4
Tie the strand on the left (knotting strand) over the strand to the right of it in a double knot. Pull the knotting strand firmly to create a tight, neat knot. Continue to knot the knotting strand in a double knot around each of the remaining strands to the right.
-
5
Repeat Step 4 until you have knotted the desired length of friendship bracelet in a diagonal knotted pattern.
-
6
Tie a double knot around the bottom of the bracelet, just below the last row of knots. Leave enough loose embroidery floss to be able to tie the friendship bracelet around the wrist. Cut any extra floss off with the scissors.
