How to Recover a Deleted Photo File From My BlackBerry Phone

Use data recovery software to retrieve a deleted file.

When you want to recover a deleted file from your BlackBerry phone, use data recovery software like Tenorshare Data Recovery, iCare Data Recovery and Wondershare Photo Recovery. The software applications are designed to scan your BlackBerry phone for any files that were deleted, such as photos, videos and music, from the SD card. Then you will be able to retrieve the deleted file and save it in a folder on your BlackBerry phone.

Instructions

1. Go online and download a data recovery software application from the Internet on your computer. Double-click on the installation icon and follow the setup wizard's instructions. Look for the data recovery icon on your desktop and click on it to open the application.

2. Remove the SD card from your BlackBerry phone and slide it into your USB memory card reader. Connect the data cable for your memory card reader to a USB port on your desktop or laptop computer. Windows automatically recognizes it as an external device.

3. Select the file types, such as photo, video and music, that you want the data recovery software application to recover. Click the "Start” button.

4. Wait for the scanning process to complete. A list of all the deleted files on your SD card is recovered and displayed on the screen. Select the deleted file(s) that you want to retrieve from your BlackBerry phone and then click the “Recover” button.

5. Click the “Browse” button to select the file path and folder for where you want to save the recovered file. Click the "OK" button to complete the file recovery process. Unplug the USB memory card reader cable for your computer. Remove your SD card from the USB memory card reader.

• If you don't already own a USB memory card reader for your BlackBerry phone, you can purchase a device for approximately $5.00 at the time of publication. Some readers support USB 2.0 and 1.1 ports on your computer.

• You can increase your odds of retrieving a deleted file by not saving any more files to the SD card on your BlackBerry phone. This reduces the chances that your files may be overwritten. Make certain that you remove the SD card from your BlackBerry phone and put it in a safe place. Then use it when you're ready to use your USB memory card reader and data recovery software to help you recover a deleted file.
