How to Calibrate a Sears Kenmore Gas Oven
Kenmore ovens are manufactured by many major appliance companies, including Whirlpool and Frigidaire, and distributed by Sears. Modern Kenmore ovens utilize an electronic oven control, which uses buttons, rather than a rotary knob, to control the oven mode, as well as the temperature settings. As the oven is continually used, the actual temperature may begin to become offset from the set temperature, at which point calibration of the oven is needed. Place an oven thermometer into the oven, then preheat the oven to a commonly used temperature. Allow the oven to completely pre-heat, then compare the set temperature to the temperature on the thermometer to determine the calibration needed.

Press the "Stop/Clear" button to turn off the oven.

Press the "Bake" button and press the "Up" arrow button continuously until the oven temperature is set to 550 degrees Fahrenheit.

Press and hold the "Bake" button within two seconds of setting the temperature to 550 degrees. Release the button when a two-digital number appears on the display.

Press the "Up" or "Down" arrow buttons to adjust the temperature offset in five degree increments, depending on the required setting.

Press the "Stop/Clear" button to save your changes and exit the calibration screen.
