How to Ship a Crankshaft
If you are selling auto parts over the Internet or by mail, it's vital to your business that your goods arrive in the right place and are undamaged when they get there. Using a trusted shipping company is important, but so is correct packing. Doing things right the first time will save you from having to make costly refunds or wasting time chasing misplaced orders.

1
Wrap the crankshaft in at least 1 inch of bubble wrap. Tape the bubble wrap in place and put the shaft into the box. Write the name and address of the shipping destination and a return address on a label and place it inside the box. This is in case the exterior label is damaged.

2
Close the box with tape and seal all the seams with tape as well. Stick a shipping label on the outside with both addresses written on it.

Contact a goods shipping company that handles auto parts to arrange collection and delivery of the crankshaft. Ask the agent about insurance provided by the shipping company and keep all documentation provided by the company.
