How to Close a Tube Scarf
On a round knitting loom, you can create unique pieces that resemble those created using traditional knitting needles, such as a tube scarf. Tube scarfs are wide, designed to be wrapped around the neck several times or over the head. You can knit a tube scarf on a round loom; one of the last things you must do to create a polished look is close the tube scarf by tying the ends properly.

1
Stop knitting your tube scarf once it has reached your desired length. Wrap the yarn three times around the round loom so you have a length of yarn approximately three times the loom's diameter. Thread the end of the yarn through the eye of a yarn needle.
-
2
Pull the needle up through the yarn on the first working peg of the round loom, leaving the yarn on the peg. Pull the yarn tightly through the loop.

3
Pull the needle through each loop of yarn on the pegs around the loom. When you come back to the first peg, the point at which you started, pull the yarn through the loop again.
-
4
Slip each of the loops of yarn from each peg on the loom. Pull each end of the yarn you threaded through the loops to pull both ends of the tube scarf tightly together. Tie the ends of the yarn together in a tight double-knot.
-
5
Hide the ends of the yarn by weaving 2 to 3 inches of it into the scarf. Trim the excess yarn with a pair of sewing scissors.

6
Cut an 18 inch length of yarn and thread it through the yarn needle. Pull the needle through each stitch on the other end of the tube scarf, leaving a 6 inch long tail of yarn. Thread the yarn all the way around the scarf until you come back to the starting point. Pull the two ends of the yarn together to pull the other end of the scarf tightly together. Hide the ends of the yarn by weaving them into the scarf and trim the ends to finish the scarf.
