  • 6 skeins medium-weight yarn
  • Size K crochet hook

Instructions

      Cast on 52 stitches using the larger sized crochet hook. Double crochet stitch in the fourth stitch from the hook. Double crochet stitch in each chain across. Continue working in double chain stitch until your piece measures 24 inches long. Fasten off. This is the back section of your sweater.

      Repeat Step 1 for the front section of the same sweater.

      Cast on 25 stitches using your larger crochet hook. Single crochet in the second chain from the hook. Continue making single crochet stitches in each chain stitch across. Work in double crochet stitching, increasing one stitch at both ends, every other row until you have 48 stitches. Continue working until your piece measure 17 1/2 inches. Fasten off. This completes one sleeve. Complete this step for the second sleeve.

      Attach your yarn at the wrist edge of the sleeve using your smaller crochet hook. Chain three, work 23 stitches in double crochet across, chain two and turn. Work for five more rows in double crochet and fasten off. Repeat on the other sleeve.
