Downloading a Google book allows you to print and read it.

Google Books is the part of Google's search engine tailored to books and magazines found on the Internet. By searching for a book on Google Books, you will be able to read all or a portion of a book for research and enjoyment. By downloading a book selection, you have the option of saving it on your computer to read in the future or printing it out to read at your leisure. To download a Google book, first discover which books are available to download, also known as ebooks.

      Go to the Google Books webpage and click on "Browse Books and Magazines" and then "Advanced Book Search." You are going to have the option to filter the search results for only downloadable books.

      Type in keywords for the book you are searching for such as the author's name, genre, type of book and contents. Check the "Google eBooks Only" box so that the search results are filtered, which will save you time when locating the correct book. Click "Google Search" located at the top of the page to be given a list of books meeting your search criteria.

      Click "Free Google eBooks" located on the left side of the page if you are only looking for free downloadable books. Otherwise you will need to pay for your book before it is available for download.

      Click the title of the book you are interested in, then click "Download" and then "PDF" located on the right side of the screen above the book image. Type in the captcha code (a series of letters or numbers) and click "Submit." A box will pop up that gives you the option to save the book to your computer. Click "Save" and choose the location to download the book.
