Jungle reserves protect areas of the jungle from human involvement.

A jungle reserve is a special section of a jungle that is “reserved” by an organization or country to prevent humans from disturbing the natural order of the jungle. Occasionally, a special resort or observation building is present inside the reserve so that people can view the natural habitat and wonder of the jungle. Making a jungle reserve is an arduous process that takes years to complete due to the bureaucracy and politics involved. However, if you want to create a jungle reserve, there are steps you can take to support jungle reserves and preservation efforts.

Instructions

    • 1

Determine the area of jungle that you want to save. There are jungles all over the world, including South America, India and Africa.

    • 2

Locate any existing nature and jungle preservation organizations in that country. Contact those organizations and ask them what area of the jungle they are working to preserve or make into a reservation. Ask the organization how you can help create the reserve.

    • 3

Visit the jungle and work with the organizations to rid the area of human influence. Many reserves have fences set up to protect the animals and keep humans out. You may be able to help build some of the physical pieces of the reserve.

    • 4

Support the jungle reserve by making financial contributions to the reserve and raising awareness for the reserve in your community. Ask for friends and family to support the reserve as well.

    • 5

Continue to volunteer at the reserve whenever possible to help support the reserve by clearing brush or other debris or helping in any other way that you can to keep the reserve area safe for future generations.
