Instructions

    • 1

Connect the MIO console to the power outlet.

    • 2

Open the computer DVD tray and insert the program disk. Open the finder application on the bottom left side of the screen. Locate and open the “Applications” folder and drag the new program icon on the screen into the folder to install it.

    • 3

Click on the Apple menu in the top toolbar and choose “System Preferences.” Select the newly installed MIO converter as the system's sound input and output.

    • 4

Open any music application to listen to the difference in sound. Turn the sound volume up or down as needed.

    • 5

Attach the cables from your input analog device into the appropriate channel port on the rear of the converter. This may be something like a turntable, keyboard or other music device. Click the “Channel” tab to see the equalizer, gain control, pan, mute and other sound features for each device.

    • 6

Open the “Applications” folder and click on the MIO console to open it. Choose the “Basic Setup” from the list of options that appears.

    • 7

Edit the audio using the Mixer software. This mixer looks and acts like your traditional music mixer. Change the level of the analog signal going into the mixer by moving the “Gain” slider. Adjust the “Fader”and “Pots” sliders to make other level changes.

    • 8

Don’t allow the on-screen digital meter to go into the red area when adjusting the sliders as this will distort the sound and stress the digital converter.
