Jazzercise is a type of fitness program accompanied by dance music in the background. As its name suggests, the program includes jazz dance and other types of dancing moves. For example, you may often perform a simple move called a jazz square during a Jazzercise class. The jazz square is a simple 5-step process that requires stepping in four different points, forming a square.

Instructions

    • 1

      Cross your right foot over your left foot. Place it flat on the ground.

      Swing your left behind you. Place it flat on the ground.

    • 3

      Swing your right foot back, next to your left foot but with about an inch of space separating the two.

    • 4

      Step forward with your left foot.

    • 5

      Step forward with your right foot, placing it adjacent to the left foot.

Tips & Warnings

  • Your arms stay at your side for the first and last step, but you can swing them naturally for the other steps.
