How to Make a Charades Game
When it is time to entertain, it is often important to keep costs as low as possible. Games that you can make at home, with minimal effort and expenditure, are ideal. Charades games, which involve acting out words, phrases, or themes, lend themselves to party entertainment because they never cease to be engaging -- regardless of the skill level of the players involved -- and require a minimal budget to make. If you are making your own charades game, you are in complete creative control of how the game gets played.

1
Decide on the categories for your game. For instance, you might want to have people act out different movie titles, or act in ways that suggest the names of different famous people. Divide your cards into different piles corresponding to the different categories.
-
2
Write the cues on each of your cards. For instance, on the "famous people" card, perhaps you would write "Barack Obama." On a "movie" card, perhaps you would write "Breakfast at Tiffany's."

3
Decide on the rules. Typically in charades, the rules involve no talking and relying on physical movements to make a point. In addition, when playing charades, if the opposite team guesses your cue correctly, you should touch your nose to indicate that they are correct.

Divide your guests into teams and distribute the cards. Have your guests take turns acting out the cues for the other team. Award points to the teams when they correctly interpret the other team's acting.
