How to Link Linkedin Groups to Blogger

LinkedIn Groups is a feature that allows LinkedIn users to create, curate and participate in professional conversations with other users on the site. If you have a Blogger blog and you would like to automatically add links to your new blog content on a LinkedIn group you're the administrator for, you can easily add your blog feed's URL to the News Feeds of your group. As you post new content on Blogger, LinkedIn cross-posts it to your group's discussion board for other users to read, rate and comment on.

Instructions

    • 1

Copy your Blogger blog's RSS feed URL to your computer's clipboard. Locate the text on your blog that says "Subscribe to: Posts (Atom)," typically found in the footer or the bottom of the sidebar in your blog's layout. Right-click the "Posts (Atom)" link and then click "Copy Shortcut" or "Copy Link Location" in the pop-up box that appears.

    • 2

Log in to the LinkedIn account that has administrative privileges over the group to which you want to link your Blogger blog.

    • 3

Hover your mouse over "Groups" in the top horizontal menu on the page, then click the name of the group you want in the drop-down submenu that appears.

    • 4

Click the "Manage" tab in the menu under your group's name.

    • 5

Click "News Feeds" in the left column.

    • 6

Paste your blog feed's URL in the Add a News Feed field, and then click the "Continue" button below the field to apply the changes.

Tips & Warnings

  • If your Blogger layout doesn't have the Posts (Atom) link, you can locate your blog feed's URL by clicking the orange and white RSS logo in the browser bar, then copying the URL that appears to your clipboard.

  • LinkedIn may take several hours to update your blog feed in your group. If, after several hours, you still can't see your Blogger RSS feed on your group's LinkedIn homepage, ensure that you have selected "Show All RSS Discussions" from the drop-down menu in the Discussions tab.
