How to Get a Font Into the Outlines in Publisher
Microsoft Office programs, such as Publisher 2010, share different elements of the Windows 7 operating system to offer you choices within the program. One such shared element are the fonts installed on your computer. These fonts are installed for every program on the computer. Therefore, if you are attempting to use a particular font for an outline that you are creating in Publisher 2010, you need only to install that font in Windows 7 to have it available to you in Publisher 2010.

Close Publisher 2010 if it is open.

Browse to the folder containing the font file that you want to install.

Right-click the font file, then click "Install."

Double-click the Publisher file into which you want to insert the new font.

Use your mouse to highlight the text that you wish to convert to the new font.

Click the drop-down menu to the right of "Font," and then click the font that you just installed. The highlighted text will be switched to your new font.

Tips & Warnings
If you are using a font in a document that will be shared with other people on other computers, consider sending them the font with the document. If a font is not installed on the computer editing the document, Publisher will revert to a default font option instead.
