1
Cut six lengths of 44-inch-wide or four lengths of 60-inch-wide fabric. All of the pieces should be 91 inches long.
-
2
Spread out one of the lengths of fabric right side up on the floor. Lay a second length right side down on top of it and match up the edges. The top of both pieces of fabric should be at the same end. Pin the edges of the fabric together along one side.

3
Sew the side edges together, stitching 1/2 inch from the edge with a straight stitch. If you are using 44-inch wide fabric, sew a third length of the fabric you cut in Step 1 to the side of this panel in the same way you attached the first one. With 44-inch-wide fabric, you need three pieces of fabric to make a panel. With 60-inch-wide fabric you need two pieces.

4
Iron down 1/2 inch on the wrong side of the fabric at the top of the curtain panels and then iron down 1 1/2 inch to form a casing. Iron up 1 inch at the bottom and then iron a 4-inch hem.
-
5
Secure both the casing and the hem by stitching close to the inside fold. The finished curtain will be 84 inches long with a 1 1/2-inch casing and a 4-inch hem. Make a second curtain in the same way.

Tips & Warnings
If you are using a print, match it before you cut the fabric. You will need extra fabric for this. Matching prints can be difficult. Use a solid fabric if you are a beginning seamstress.
If desired, make curtains for all the sides of the bed.
