DIY Replacement of the ERC on an Amana Range
Amana ranges use an electronic range control, or ERC, to control all aspects of the oven, including the mode selection and temperature controls. Additionally, the ERC contains a display, showing the time of day when the oven is not in use, and outputting oven information, such as the cooking mode and oven temperature during the operation of the oven. If the ERC fails, you will not be able to control the oven until it is replaced. Fortunately, replacing the ERC is a do-it-yourself task that requires common household tools. Does this Spark an idea?
