How to Get Moogles in "Final Fantasy VIII"
MiniMog is the only Moogle that makes an appearance in “Final Fantasy VIII.” Though not one of the game’s true Guardian Forces, MiniMog is a command ability that can be learned by any of the game’s Guardian Forces. Before the ability can be learned by a Guardian Force, however, MiniMog must first be found.

Reach Disc 2 of “Final Fantasy VIII” and visit any Chocobo Forest in the world. Once inside, catch a Chocobo and follow the on-screen instructions to download him to your Pocket Station game console.

Start the game “Chocobo World” for the Pocket Station handheld game console. The Pocket Station is only available in Japan.

Reach Level 25 in “Chocobo World” to find MiniMog. Rescue him from the monster to receive the Mog Amulet.

Access the main menu of “Chocobo World” and select the “Home” command. This will automatically transfer the Mog Amulet to “Final Fantasy VIII.”

Equip one of your Guardian Forces with the Mog Amulet to teach that Guardian Force the MiniMog ability.

Summon your Guardian Force during battle and choose the “MiniMog” command. MiniMog will appear and restore 1,500 hit points to all Guardian Forces that have been junctioned.

Tips & Warnings
MiniMog also appears on a card in the virtual trading card game “Triple Triad.” This card can be obtained by winning a match against the boy who won’t stop running through Balamb Garden.
