How to Geotag a Map Import
Geotagging means finding the longitude and latitude of the location in which photos are taken. You can import pictures, including map files, to your computer and geotag them using Google Earth and Google Picasa. With geotagging, you can know the time and date on which a photo was taken, as well as the precise location at which the image was taken.
