How to Recycle An A/C Condenser
The A/C condenser is often located on the exterior of the main air-conditioning unit and can be identified by its metal fins. The condenser cools the heated gas and turns it back into a liquid. The cooler fluid is then pushed into the evaporator where it is turned back into a gas. If the condenser no longer works or you are getting a new air conditioner, the condenser must be properly disposed of because it contains contaminants that are harmful to the environment.
