How to Market for a New Pharmacy

1
Offer incentives for customers to use your new pharmacy. There are countless offers you could provide new customers with, including a gift card to your store with their first purchase, provide free health screenings or free flu shots. Incentives will help to get them in the store for the first time, which is necessary to build up your client base.

2
Advertise what makes your pharmacy the best choice. If you have late-night hours, offer generic prescriptions or are conveniently located in a supermarket, these are things that will appeal to customers. Promote these characteristics that give your pharmacy an edge over the competition.

3
Advertise your pharmacy. Use paid forms such as television, radio and newspaper advertisements. These modes of communication will reach many different people, helping to get the word out about your new pharmacy. After all, if people don't even know that you have opened, you won't be able to get any customers.

4
Find your target market. The people that live within the closest to your pharmacy, within a five block radius, are your most likely customers. Focus extra efforts on marketing on them by mailing them flyers and coupons. Let them know how close and conveniantly located your pharmacy is to their home. Also focus on any doctor's offices within this radius.
