1
Lay area rugs on the loft floor and rearrange furniture around the borders of the rugs. For instance, place an armoire with a television on one side, then couches and chairs around the other sides, making the space distinctive, yet focused. Use the same principle for the sleeping space in your loft. The area rugs will not only define a certain space, they will dampen the sound of foot traffic.

2
Place furniture and other decor around the border of the loft, creating a kind of "wall" to separate the space.

3
Stand up room dividers between two distinct spaces, creating privacy for both sides. Place the room dividers strategically so they do not interrupt the flow of the loft yet still serve the function of making different spaces separate.
-
4
Install window treatments and/or tint the windows. This will not only enhance the space, making it more decorative, it will allow you to control the transparency of the windows, obtaining privacy on demand.
