Troubleshooting a Samsung ML 2010

The Samsung ML-2010 is a laser printer that connects to your Macintosh or Windows-based PC to provide high-quality documents and images, and it supports both wired and network connections to enable multi-user access. Although basic troubleshooting corrects most problems with the Samsung ML-2010, it is recommended to have it serviced by an authorized Samsung repair technician if the printer needs to be disassembled. Attempts to disassemble the printer on your own voids the warranty, and should be avoided if possible.

Instructions

Check the power port on the back of the printer to ensure the cable is securely in the machine. Unplug the power cable from its current electrical outlet, and plug it into an alternate outlet to determine if the power issue is due to your outlet and not the device.

Remove the paper from the paper input tray in the front of the printer, and remove all printer paper located at the top of the printer. Lift open the paper output tray, and carefully pull out any visible jammed paper from the printer.

    • 3

Open the printer's front cover, and pull the toner's tab to remove the toner from the printer. Wipe the inside of the printer with a soft cleaning cloth to remove toner or dust accumulation. Insert the new toner cartridge into the machine, and close the front cover.

Hold down "Cancel" on the top of the printer to print out a demo page. A demo is a test page that displays whether the printer is properly working.
