How to Combine 2 RARs to Make an ISO thumbnail
The Archive Utility is a Mac application that combines .RAR files.

If an .ISO file is too large to upload to the Internet, one common fix is to split the file into multiple .RAR files. Once these files are downloaded, however, they must be reassembled in order to obtain the original .ISO file. The default archive application that comes with your computer can perform this task, allowing you to combine two .RARs to make an .ISO easily.

Instructions

    • 1

Locate the two .RAR files that you want to reassemble. If they are not already, place both files in the same folder or directory.

    • 2

Right-click on the first .RAR file in the sequence. Since split .RAR files are numbered "name00.rar," "name01.rar," and so on, the first .RAR file in the sequence is the file with the lowest number in its name.

    • 3

Move your mouse cursor over the "Open With..." option in the context menu that appears.

    • 4

Select "WinZip" from the context menu if you are using a Windows computer. If you are using a Mac computer, select the "Archive Utility" option. Now, the two .RAR files will be reassembled into the .ISO file.
