How to Install a GE ITI
Installing a GE ITI alarm sensor is not difficult and can be done in less than an hour with some basic tools. The ITI alarm includes the sensor base with cover and a separate magnet with base. The two sections should be installed on the interior side of the door that you want alarmed. Once you have programmed the alarm, the alarm will sound when the connection is broken between the magnet and circuit board. Does this Spark an idea?

Locate the alignment marks on the GE ITI alarm sensor and determine if you want to install the sensor vertically or horizontally. Lift the sensor cover off by squeezing the ends to disengage the release tabs from the slots.

Take the circuit board out of the sensor base by pulling the plastic tab back and lifting up on the battery. Disconnect the reed switch in the base and attach the sensor base to the door frame with screws and a screwdriver.

Unfasten the magnet from the base and mount the magnet base on the door with the screws and a screwdriver so it is no more than 3/8 inch from the sensor when the door is closed. Attach the circuit board to the sensor base and reattach the magnet to the magnet base.

Program the alarm sensor by setting the program on the circuit board to program mode and go to the "Learn Sensors" menu. Set the correct sensor group for your location and program the external switch setting.

Exit the program and set the sensor cover back on the alarm sensor base.

Tips & Warnings
Do not mount the ITI sensors in an area where they will get wet or be exposed to temperatures above 120 degrees or below 10 degrees.
