How to Measure Vehicle Wrap Dimensions
A vehicle wrap allows you to change your plain vehicle into a moving advertisement for your business. These wraps are fully customizable and can be placed on any type of vehicle, regardless of size. However, when you order one, you must submit as many measurements as possible to help the manufacturer create a vehicle wrap that will fit your particular vehicle. You should also submit pictures of your vehicle from the front, side and back, as well as from the top, if necessary.

1
Measure the overall size of your vehicle to let the vehicle wrap manufacturer know exactly what size your vehicle is. Measurements should include the length of your vehicle from front to back, the height from the bottom of the frame to the top and the width of your vehicle across the front and back. If you need a wrap that goes over the top of your vehicle, include the measurements for the hood, roof and trunk of your vehicle.

Note any additional measurements for other aspects of your automobile. Measure the size of the door handles, the gas access door, doors, windows, lights and any seams for the components of your car that open, such as the doors, trunk and hood. Note the size of your wheel wells.

Take measurements to show the wrap manufacturer where components are located. Measure from the front of your vehicle to the front seam of your driver-side door and note that distance. Measure from the door seam to the door handle. Proceed to the back of the car, noting the measurements from one landmark to another so the manufacturer knows where each item is.

Tips & Warnings
Even if you think a measurement is unimportant, include it and let the manufacturer decide if they need it. Manufacturers prefer excess measurements over not having enough to work with.
