How to Add Acrobat Distiller to a Printer List
Adobe Acrobat Distiller installs as a virtual printer to a computer. Adobe Distiller is installed when the Adobe Acrobat application is installed. The virtual printer appears in the list of available printers as the Adobe PDF Printer. The Adobe PDF Printer enables you to create a Portable Document Format, or PDF, file from any printing application on the computer. After the PDF is created and saved, you can print the document on any connected printer.

Insert the Adobe Acrobat installation media into the CD/DVD drive. The installation routine starts. If you downloaded the installation file from Adobe, double-click on the executable (EXE) file to start the installation.

Check the check box to indicate that you have reviewed the terms of service, and then click “I Agree.”

Click “Next” to accept each default, and then click “Finish” when the installation wizard is complete. Adobe Acrobat is installed.

Remove the installation CD from the drive and reboot the computer. The Adobe Distiller, showing as the Adobe PDF Printer, is now installed on the computer.
