How to Autofill With Norton in Firefox

Norton provides antivirus and spam protection when you surf the Web using Mozilla's Firefox Web browser. Firefox's auto form fill feature, sometimes called autocomplete, ensures that commonly used information, such as names, addresses and phone numbers, is automatically filled out in online forms. The autocomplete feature needs to be enabled on Firefox in order to work with Norton. If the feature is enabled but still isn’t working with Norton, you may need to update Norton to a newer version to ensure compatibility with Firefox's features.

Instructions

Enable Autocomplete With Firefox

1. Click the Windows orb located in the bottom left of the screen. Click “All Programs” and then click “Mozilla Firefox.”

2. Click “Tools” from the menu bar and then select “Options.” If you don't see the menu bar, press the "Alt" button to display it.

3. Click the “Privacy” tab.

4. Click the drop-down box to the right of “Firefox will:” and select “Use custom settings for history.”

5. Uncheck the box next to “Permanent Private Browsing mode.”

6. Check the box next to “Clear history when Firefox closes.”

7. Click the “Settings” button to the right of “Clear history when Firefox closes.”

8. Uncheck the box to the left of “Form & Search History” and click “OK” to save your changes.

Update Norton

1. Click the Windows orb located in the bottom left of the screen. Click “All Programs” and then click “Norton.”

2. Click “Task” from the menu bar and then click “Run LiveUpdate.” Norton will automatically update your software to the latest version.

3. Click “Close” when prompted after the update installation has completed.

4. Restart your computer for the updates to take effect.

5. Click the Windows orb, then click “All Programs” and then click “Mozilla Firefox.” Navigate to a Web page that includes of a form. Your information is automatically filled in using the autofill feature.
