Create princess chair covers with pink satin.

Invite your little girl and her friends to a tea fit for a princess. Ask the attendees to dress up in their best princess attire to share beverages, treats and stories and greet them with a setting that will make them feel as if they have been transported to a far-off kingdom. In addition to decorating the table for this event, adorn the chairs with decorations to make the little princesses feel as if they are sitting on thrones.

Instructions

    • 1

Measure the height and width of the chairs. Double the measurements and cut pieces of pink satin fabric to those dimensions.

    • 2

Drape a piece of fabric over each chair. Cover the back, seat and legs.

    • 3

Cut a 3-foot-long purple satin ribbon for each chair.

    • 4

Wrap the ribbon around the portion of the chair where the seat meets the back. Tie the ribbon in a bow that hangs off the back of the chair.

    • 5

Glue a large faux gemstone to the center of the bow on each of the chairs, using a hot-glue gun. Add sparkle, color and visual interest to the pieces of furniture, if desired.

Tips & Warnings

  • Set a decorative throw pillow on the seat of each chair to add to the throne look.

  • Glue small faux gemstones along the sides of the back of the fabric.

  • Print each princesses' name on the back of the fabric with fabric paint, using a decorative script.
