How to Get the Location Feature on Facebook

The location feature of Facebook is called Places. This feature allows you to share your current location with your friends from your mobile phone. When you access the Places feature, a list of available businesses, landmarks, restaurants and other establishments appears. You can then select the location of choice and tag friends who are with you to share with your network of Facebook users.

Instructions

1. Log in to your Facebook account on your mobile phone.

2. Tap or select the “Places” icon from the Facebook homepage.

3. Tap or select the “Check In” button located in the upper right corner of the “Places” feature. A list of available local places appears.

4. Tap or select the location of choice.

5. Tap or select “Tag Friends With You” and then tap or select the name of any friends who you wish to tag with your location.

6. Tap or select “Check In.” The location appears on your Profile.
