How to Lift a Gold Wing
Everyone's motorcycle falls off the stand at least once. Although that is more than a little embarrassing, what can be even more embarrassing is having to ask for help to raise a Honda Gold Wing off the pavement. Honda's engineers took the heft of the Gold Wing into account, however, and positioned as much weight as they could below the level of the axles. The result is a motorcycle that can be lifted by practically anyone, as long as you perform the movement correctly.

1
Stand on the top side of the motorcycle. You will not be able to lift the Honda Gold Wing by pulling it, and you cannot simply grasp the handlebars and pull it up. You must use your leg strength. Shift the motorcycle into gear if it is in neutral to prevent it from rolling.

2
Stand with your rear against the driver's seat and your knees bent. Grasp the front brake lever and the handle bar with one hand, and grasp the rear seat rail with your other hand. Keep your back straight throughout the lift.

3
Force your body weight against the driver's seat while simultaneously bracing your shoulders and back. You will feel the Gold Wing begin to rise. As it is lifted onto its tires, it will become lighter as the center of gravity is returned to its riding position. Be careful not to overlift when it becomes lighter and throw the Gold Wing over to the other side.

4
Position the motorcycle on a flat, hard surface, and then place it on its side stand.
