How to Kill Nightkin in "Fallout: New Vegas"

Nightkin are special enemies in "Fallout: New Vegas" that use Stealth Boy cloaking devices to render themselves almost completely invisible. As a result, you cannot detect Nightkin until they are attacking you or until they are so close that you can see the slight imperfections in the Stealth Boy cloaking field. However, after figuring out where a Nightkin is located, you can use any weapon available to you in the game to kill them.

Instructions

1. Approach the location where you suspect the Nightkin to be located with extreme caution. Crouch to decrease the chances the Nightkin will discover you.

2. Keep your eyes open for any ripple effects in the air; the ripples are caused by the Stealth Boy invisibility cloaking field used by the Nightkin. Also, listen for footsteps. Nightkin are quite large and make loud noises when they walk.

3. Fire at the area where you suspect the Nightkin is located, preferably with a weapon that has a flame effect. This helps short out the Stealth Boy invisibility cloaking devices Nightkin wear. After the Nightkin becomes visible, switch to a large-caliber weapon and aim at the head of the Nightkin.

4. Continue firing at the Nightkin until it's dead. Back away while firing, if possible, to keep out of range of the Nightkin's weapons.
