How to Follow Keystrokes on Your Mac
The Mac OS X operating system continuously polls for input from the keyboard and faithfully replicates each keystroke on the computer’s monitor. When you press a key in an application that supports text entry, such as a browser search bar, the corresponding letter or symbol appears immediately and you can follow the keystrokes visually.
