Push the directional pad on the left side of the controller if you are playing the Nintendo Wii version of "Need for Speed: ProStreet" and are racing in the Grip, Drift or Speed Race modes. Push the directional pad up to shift up or down to shift down. If you are racing in Drag Race mode, tilt the controller toward you to shift up or away from you to shift down.

Push and hold the "L1" button in the PlayStation 3 version of "Need for Speed: ProStreet" to activate the clutch, then move the right analog stick up to shift up or down to shift down. Release the "L1" button after shifting.
