How to Restore "Angry Birds" to an IPad

The iPad must be logged in to the iTunes account that was used to purchase the game.

When you purchase or download software from the iTunes App Store onto your iPad, the game or application is associated with your iTunes account rather than a specific piece of hardware. Therefore, you can restore any previously purchased App Store content -- such as Chillingo's "Angry Birds" game -- onto your iPad for free, as iTunes will automatically recognize that it has already been paid for. This also means you can purchase an app on one device, and download it onto any other devices that are registered to the same iTunes account.

Instructions

1. Launch the App Store application on your iPad by tapping its icon on the home screen.

2. Tap the "Purchased" button in the menu across the bottom of the screen.

3. Tap the "Not On This iPad" button. A list of previously purchased games and applications that are not currently installed on your iPad will be displayed.

4. Scroll through the list to find the "Angry Birds" entry. Tap the cloud button to the right of the "Angry Birds" title to download it. Enter your iTunes account username and password if requested. "Angry Birds" will be downloaded and restored to your iPad free of charge.

Tips & Warnings

• If a game or application has been purchased on another device linked to the same iTunes account as your iPad, it will be displayed in the Purchased list.

• Any previous high scores may be lost after previously removing "Angry Birds" from the iPad.
